Letting go of his title in Hell, Lucifer decides to abandon his kingdom and rushes out to Los Angeles after defying his father. After arriving in L.A, he becomes an owner of a nightclub named Lux. However, Lucifer soon finds himself trapped in the middle of a murder investigation where he meets Detective Chloe Decker.

The officers at LAPD want him to use his inner powers to manipulate the guilty and accused to get their deepest and darkest secrets out into the public like the dirty laundry. He soon becomes a consultant for the department, working with them to help them solve different cases.

However, true to his self and identity, he ends up confusing Detective Decker about his actual being, threatening and putting a lot at stake. With the threat of finding several celestial and demonic creatures coming to Earth, Lucifer decides to bring Chloe and his love to put them out of the darkness. However, Lucifer’s actual identity is soon revealed in front of Chloe, and she plans to kill him first but later decides to give him a chance.

With all the turmoil happening, Lucifer starts dating Eve and, in the meantime, Chloe realizes her true feelings for him and confesses it to Lucifer. However, Lucifer returns to Hell to get back to his duties.

In the meantime, Lucifer’s twin brother, Michael, decides to come to Earth and play Lucifer’s part. With everything happening, Lucifer decides to come back to Earth and he finally reconciles with Chloe and they start dating.

However, while things start getting better for Lucifer and Chloe and he starts thinking that things would eventually get better, Michael keeps working in the background to take down God by collecting intel.
