Early Life
Named as Tristen Amal Ikaikamaikai’ikaneokalani, he was born on 13th November 1999 in Utah, USA. He spent quite decent years in Hawaii with his father at his home, and his personality was largely influenced by it. Both his parents suffered health crises; his father underwent heart surgery while his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. No more details about his parents and siblings are shared online, but some portals suggest that he has two siblings named Makena and Kali.
His education details are also not confirmed, but his interest in jewelry making started quite early when he was merely 12 years old. He picked this interest from a family friend, Cody Baker, who would make great ring designs from cutlery. He soon started exploring this interest on his own.
Before Tristen pursued his interest in making rings full-fledged, he briefly worked as a videographer and photographer, taking excellent travel images which he also shared on his social media.
Beginning of the Career
As mentioned above, Tristen started taking an interest in ring making when he was 12 years old, but he officially made his first ring in 2017, which he posted on Instagram, and it was sold instantly, making about $4000. This motivated him, and he continued to drop monthly designs, all selling out immediately after the launch. He also added a personalized touch to each purchase by adding a travel picture.
He also introduced a service where customers can send them a piece of cutlery that they want to be customized into a ring. Those who can’t secure a purchase from the monthly drop can buy the design from the website at a price ranging from $20 to $60.
Later, he appeared in Shark Tank season 13, episode 12, where he made a pitch, and he eventually secured an offer from Kevin O’Leary. Post his Shark Tank appearance, his business only grew, and his sales increased by 300% in merely a month.
Shot to Fame
Though he was making quite decent revenue and was famous on social media, his breakthrough came when he appeared on Shark Tank Season 13. He initially offered 5% equity for $250,000, but got locked in by Kevin O’Leary for 15% equity in exchange for $250,000.
Relationship
As of now, he has confirmed that he is not involved in any relationship.
Major Source of Income and Net Worth
Tristen is believed to have a net worth of about $4.5 million, and the major source of his income comes from his business, with a little contribution coming from his massive following on social media accounts.
