It is hard to get over the melancholic end of Sex Education. One of the greatest forward-thinking dramas has graced screens worldwide. Laurie Nunn’s series quickly gained popularity due to its original take on the classic adulthood tale.

This show provides a fascinating and humorous approach to what it is like to be a young adult dealing with the hard truths of their developing sexuality. The program centers on Otis and Maeve as they attempt to create a safe space where their classmates may talk about the difficulties of relationships. Sex Education is emotionally engaging and educational at the same time. This high school student-focused television show has evolved to become less cliché and more relevant.

However, that does not imply you can’t discover those qualities elsewhere since Sex Education is over. Here are some more engaging and interesting series to add to your bucket list in place of Sex Education.

The audience mostly follows Rue, played by Zendaya, whom they first meet immediately after her release from rehab. She had a hard time readjusting to her life and her social circle. However, nothing is restricted in this intense program, so it might be too much for some viewers, but the script is excellent, as are the performances.

Never Have I Ever ( 2020 – 2023)

Stream on – Netflix

This 4 season Netflix series focuses largely on the co-creator Mindy Kaling’s teenage years. It features Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi Vishwakumar, an Indian-American high school student in Sherman Oaks, California. Dealing with her father’s sudden demise along with balancing all of the different challenges associated with being an adolescent was the main content of the whole series.

Devi’s tense relationship with her stern medical mother Nalini and her complex romantic affection for two fellow students, Paxton Hall-Yoshida and Ben Gross are also the two major aspects of this series. The upbeat adolescent drama has received recognition for both its poignant portrayals of first-generation immigrant living and comedy (the notoriously turbulent tennis player John McEnroe narrates Devi’s inner monologues).

Schitt’s Creek (2015-2020)

Stream on – Netflix
