Relife Season 2

When you get hooked on a show right after the first season, the last thing that you want to hear is that the show isn’t returning. Surprisingly, this is a common issue that the fans of Relife have been hearing ever since the end of the first season.

This romantic comedy series is inspired by a manga of the same name and has managed to acquire a dedicated fanbase ever since its release. With the show premiering in 2016, the audience has now been waiting for some new updates.

If you are in the same boat and have been wondering if Relife Season 2 is happening, we have all the answers for you.

When is Relife Season 2 Releasing?

For those who have yet to watch the show, Relife was created and launched by TMS Entertainment. The OVA episode of the show was released in 2018 and since then, we have received no formal updates from them, which is quite disappointing.

Neither the producers nor the show’s showrunner have discussed anything related to the show’s second season, which has left the fans in utter despair. So, when it comes to the renewal status, we don’t have any word from the network or the creators, which is fairly disappointing.

Since anime shows take a good amount of time to create and produce, it makes sense if the producers are working on Relife Season 2 in the background but we don’t have any official insights about any progress, which is what is making the fans frustrated.

The first season was released with a total of 13 episodes, which was quite impressive. It has a good IMDB rating as well, which is a bonus.

What can we expect in Relife Season 2?

For the readers who are planning to watch Relife Season 2, we’d highly recommend that you skip this altogether if you don’t want any kinds of spoilers.

That said, Relife, which is inspired by the manga of the same name, follows the life of Arata Kaizaki, who is a 27-year-old that’s completely wrung out and tired of his mere existence. But, he has big dreams but lacks the energy and the drive to make things happen in his life.

Not finding things interesting in one place, Arata often switches from one company to the other, trying to figure things out but he remains clueless throughout the process. That is until he meets Ry Yoake, who ends up being the only motivation that Arata needs to drive his life back on track.

Ry gives Arata a medication, taking which puts them in high school and as a 17-year-old again. That’s where Arata has to figure things out again.

This is pretty much the premise of the first season. With the simplicity of the plot, it isn’t surprising that the show garnered a dedicated fanbase. Season 2 would have explored more about Arata’s life and how things would change now that he has a better perspective and a second chance at life.

Who would return in Relife Season 2?

It has been quite some time since the first season of Relife premiered. If Season 2 were to happen, we can pretty much expect the cast from Season 1 to make a return.
