Entertainment plays a significant role in human life these days as stress and tension have entered everyone’s life. When it comes to Entertainment, regular movies, TV series, shows come to mind. Sure, they are a good source of entertainment but, at times they seem stagnant and boring. To bring some new essence to the entertainment world a new stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi was launched on 21st July 2008

Khatron k Khiladi is an Indian stunt reality TV series based on an American series known as Fear Factor: Players of Danger. Initially, the show was launched as Fear Factor India and was telecast on Sony TV, later on, it was sold to Colors TV and was relaunched on 21st July 2008 with a new name Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. 

The hosts of the show kept on changing from Akshay Kumar to Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor to Rohit Shetty who is hosting the show consistently for the last three seasons. Since 2008 ten seasons have been covered. Each season had 12 contestants on average and a maximum of 25 contestants Khatron Ke Khiladi got a deserving winner every time. Here is a summary of each winner that will be discussed.

1st Season Winner- Nethra Raghuraman

Nethra Raghuraman is an Indian actress cum model. She stepped into the industry after she won the Look of the Year in 1997. After that Nethra was featured in few films like Thakshak, Bhopal Express, Tum Ho Na, Inteqam- the perfect game, and a few more. In 2000 she was awarded for the best female newcomer at the Star Screen Awards. She has done few music videos too. Lately, in the year 2008, she competed in Khatron Ke Khiladi. She was one of the strong contestants of the season and her win nailed the fact. Neha is a perfect example of women’s power. The show was hosted by Akshay Kumar

2nd Season Winner- Anushka Manchanda

Born and brought up in Delhi, Anushka is an Indian singer, VJ of Channel V, model, and actress. She is best known for her Indi pop girl group “Viva!. Anushka stepped into the industry after being selected in a contest called Coke (V) Popstars on Channel V. She had experimented with her career life and luckily didn’t face any disappointment. In the year 2009 Anushka participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi and again proved the strength of women’s power. She was a deserving winner of the season. The number of contestants was 13. The show was hosted by Akshay Kumar

3rd Season Winner- Shabbir Ahluwalia

Shabbir Ahluwalia is an actor and host on Indian Television. Though he got recognition from a television show Kahin to Hoga the actor is majorly known for his role of Abhishek Prem Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya. Shabbir has gained popularity by acting in several TV serials. he is a promising actor in the Indian television industry. Shabbir married a television actress in 2011 and they have a son. In 2010 Shabbir Ahluwalia was one of the contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 3. His daring and courageous nature made him the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3. In this season as a host, Priyanka Chopra replaced Akshay Kumar

4th Season Winner: Aarti Chabbria

Aarti Chhabria is an Indian actress who started her career at the age of 3 years. The model turned actress started her career doing an ad for Farex. After that, she continued modelling for more than 300 television commercials like Maggie Noodles, Pepsodent, LML Trendy Scooter, and many more. The actress won Miss India Worldwide 1999 pageant. She stepped in acting as a debutant in the movie Tumse Achha Kaun Hai in the year 2002 and continued acting in several other movies. Aarti Chabria participated in Khatron k Khiladi Season 4 in the year 2011. The season witnessed yet another woman winner. Akshay Kumar was back as a host in this season

5th Season Winner: Rajneesh Duggal

Rajneesh Duggal is a model turned actor who has won Grasim Mr. India 2003 and also represented India at Mr. International 2003 held in London. The model turned actor was the runner-up in the contest. Rajneesh made his acting debut with Vikram Bhatt’s horror thriller 1920 and acted in many other movies and ad commercials like Monte Carlo, Raymond, KitKat, etc. Rajneesh was a contestant in Khatron k Khiladi season 5 held in the year 2014. Rajneesh had a tough competition with Niketan Dheer as both of them were strong enough. Finally, Rajneesh won the season. For the first time Rohit Shetty- the filmmaker hosted the show and it was a big hit.

6th Season Winner-Ashish Choudhury

Ashish Choudhury is a Bollywood film and television actor who has marked his name in various movies and television shows. The supporting actor did numerous roles among which Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal, Speed, Qayamat: City under threat, and Behadh 2 was his best movies. Ashish was also a contestant in a dance reality show. The actor interacts with his fans on Twitter regularly. He participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi: Darr k blockbuster returns and was a deserving winner of the season. Rohit Shetty hosted the show.

7th season Winner – Siddharth Shukla

Best known for his roles in Balika Vadhu, Dil Se Dil Tak, and Broken but Beautiful 3 Sidharth Shukla did his debut in Bollywood movies in the year 2014 as a supporting actor in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Siddharth was a model and his handsome look and presence of mind led him to win the title of World’s Best Model in December 2005 after beating 40 contestants across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The actor also participated and won other reality show in India. The actor is a practitioner of fitness and won the Most Fit Actor award in 2014 so being a winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi is quite convincing. He is the winner of season 7 and Arjun Kapoor was the host then.

8th Season Winner – Shantanu Maheshwari

Born and brought up in Kolkata, Shantanu Maheshwari is an Indian actor, choreographer, and host. Shantanu worked hard and got fame at a very early age. Shantanu was a member of a dancing crew Desi Hoppers-Winner of the Dance 2015 Championship which was held in Los Angeles. Along with Desi Hoppers, he also performed in America’s Got Talent. His debut movie Gangubai Kathiawadi is yet to be released. He might seem young but Shantanu Maheshwari emerged as the winner of the 8th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi amongst the rest of 11 contestants. Rohit Shetty made a comeback with this season.

9th Season Winner – Punit Jayesh Pathak

Punit emerged from a Dance reality show and later he debuted as an actor in a dance-based movie named ABCD which was released in the year 2013. The dancer turned actor participated in many dance reality shows. He was also the choreographer of many dance shows. A few of his movies are ABCD, ABCD 2, Street Dancer, ABCD 4, and Nawabzaade. The dance lover won the 9th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi in the year 2019 and won the prize money of 20 lakhs and a swift car. Rohit Shetty remained the host.

10th Season Winner – Karishma Tanna

Karishma Tanna is a well-known name in Indian television. She made her debut from a TV serial in Star in the year 2001. Karishma also appeared in many reality shows. Her television career list is too long as she is in the industry for 20 years. The actress won the 10th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi and 20 lakhs along with a car. The 10th season was postponed for 3 months from June to August. This was the last season of Khatron Ke Khiladi to date. The show was hosted by Rohit Shetty.

Khatron Ke Khiladi got immense popularity because of the new theme of its adventure, and of course for its host and celebrity contestants. The show gave a new and unique dimension to the television world. 

the fans must be waiting for the next season to be telecasted. The new season (Season 11) has been postponed due to the Covid 19 situation and is yet to come. The dates have not been confirmed yet, but it would be on air very shortly as soon as the pandemic situation gets stable.
