About The Brand
Founded in 2011, Mo’s Bows started off with selling bow ties but has now grown into a well-known fashion and accessories label after it appeared on Shark Tank.
The brand uses fun patterns and bold colours to make their products stand out, and has added items like pocket squares, neckties, and face masks since the beginning.
The brand has built a strong online presence, sharing lively posts on social media, and has also partnered with community events for more people to know about them.
About The Founder
Moziah Bridges founded Mo’s Bows when he was just nine years old, which has now grown into a multimillion-dollar business. He loved dressing up from a young age, but got upset when he couldn’t find bows he liked, or that matched his taste. It was his grandmother who taught him to sew so he could make bow ties for himself, and that was the beginning of his journey.
He sold thousands of bow ties by age 12, and presented his brand on Shark Tank, even. It takes around $5-10 to make a single bow, and they are sold for a good profit of $45-55.
What Happened On Shark Tank?
Mo’s Bows appeared on season 5 of Shark Tank, where Moziah asked for $50,000 in return for 20% of his business. While the sharks were impressed by his pitch, most of them backed out for some reason or another, except Kevin, who offered a royalty plan.
It was Daymond John who offered to mentor him and advised him not to take on investors at an early stage of his business. Staying true to his words, Daymond John introduced him to a top tie maker, Robert Stewart, and also helped him get his bows tested in Neiman Marcus stores.
With Daymond John’s help, Mo also landed a solid licensing deal with the NBA that gave him rights to use team logos on his products for one year, and that turned out to be a great thing for the brand.
Is The Brand Successful?
Mo’s Bows faced a heavy demand after the Shark Tank episode aired, and that helped the brand secure a great profit. According to reports, the company’s net worth is around $2 million in 2025 and will likely rise further in the future.
Mo secured a license with the NBA and had products tested in Neiman Marcus. That’s not all, he has also expanded his business outside the U.S. in the Bahamas and Canada.
