Crafting Your Dream CS2 Loadout

A new loadout system in CS2 transforms the game. The Counter-Strike 2 brought us the concept of loadouts. Currently, you can choose 15 different weapons to use during a match, and other weapons cannot be used. In other words, instead of having more flexibility during the game, it would be more important that players follow a pre-game strategy, which would result in stronger gameplay since players would be less distracted during the match. In any case, you have to select the best weapons for your loadout before you begin the game. Do not forget about the look, and try to get better skins using trade-up contracts or the fun way of CS2 case battles. Prior to the start of the match, it is essential that you carefully choose your weapons in accordance with your team’s overall strategy, tactics, play style, the map, and your opponents’ play style.

Best Pistols To Use in CS2 Loadout

The first slot on the T-side is always occupied by the default pistol, Glock-18, while on the CT-side, the default pistol is USP-S/P2000.

Additionally, the Desert Eagle is an important player in economic rounds, as it is one of the main choices available to players.

Another candidate that deserves to be mentioned is the P250. It is a safe option for those who do not want to take on a lot of risk because of its low cost, good animation, and decent damage. Having dual Berettas is a great choice due to its low price point, and they can always be dropped to a teammate in economic rounds if desired.

The P250, as well as the Dual Berettas, are excellent choices for pistol upgrades, especially in the pistol round. It would be best to alternate between the Dual Berettas and the P250 so as to give your teammates both options as they play, especially if you are playing part of a pre-made squad. Nonetheless, according to professional players, these pistols do not necessarily need to be used by every player on a team – they are usually sufficient for one or two players on the team.

There are also powerful pistols like the CZ-75 Auto and the Tec-9/Five-seveN that can be used as an alternative.

Best T-side loadout: Glock-18, P250, Desert Eagle, any two of the three (Dual Berettas, Tec-9, CZ-75 Auto)

Best CT-side pistol loadout: USP-S, P250, Desert Eagle, any two of the three (Dual Berettas, Five-seveN, CZ-75 Auto)

Best Mid-Tier Weapons to Use in CS2 Loadout

This category includes shotguns, submachine guns and machine guns, making it the most varied.

The majority of players, however, allocate two slots to shotguns: the Nova and the XM1024. There are many advantages to both of these weapons in close-range combat, but the decision depends a lot on the economic situation.

In the current meta, machine guns have not yet found their place, and so players are often purchasing the Negev, which is the meme weapon you will want to use whenever you want to demoralize your opponents.

There is a wide range of submachine guns, both in terms of cost and characteristics, so allocating three slots to them is a viable solution:

The inexpensive Mac-10/MP9, depending on the side, is very effective for its cost and has to be the most obvious pick.

Professional players are currently using the MP5-SD, and the MP7 is still a viable option as well. There is no doubt that the MP7/MP5 find a good balance, but they are significantly more expensive than the MP9.

For many casual players, the P90 continues to remain a timeless classic, thanks to its large magazine and its high price tag.

Best T-side mid-tier weapon loadout: MAC-10, Nova, MP5-SD/MP7, XM1014, P90

Best CT-side mid-tier weapon loadout: Nova, MP9, MP5-SD/MP7, XM1014, P90

Best Rifles to Use in CS2 Loadout

Let’s start with the T-side. In terms of the T-side loadout, it is quite simple. Here, a versatile and nearly fail-safe option is available. The loadout consists of the Galil AR-15, the AK-47, and the SG553. As a complement to these guns, there are the sniper rifles SSG 08 and AWP. A Scout is an economical sniper that does a great deal of damage in a short amount of time, whereas an AWP is a one-shot, one-kill cannon that is truly potent.

Considering that this set is comprehensive, it will cover most scenarios, and the absence of semi-automatic sniper rifles can be attributed to their previous status.

The CT side is a bit different, though, in that every slot needs to be carefully selected.

In terms of defence, there is no such universal answer, as both the M4A1-S and the M4A4 are usable simultaneously on CS2. Due to changes in the economy, professionals currently prefer the M4A1-S over the M4A4, even though it is stronger.

Due to their economic and damage duality and the fact that they can both be used at the same time, the two M4s make a good case for themselves. If you are looking for a middle ground between the MP9 and M4, then the FAMAS is the perfect choice.

Best T-side rifle loadout: Galil AR, AK-47, SG553, SSG 08, AWP

Best CT-side rifle loadout: AWP, any four of the five (FAMAS, M4A1-S, M4A4, AWP, SSG 08)
