Motorola has recently declared the release of Moto G 5G Plus. It’s a mid-budget smartphone with a 5G connection. But do not confuse it with Moto G8 Plus as both of the models have similar names. That being said, now we are going to highlight the main similarities and differences between the two phones.

Starting with the display and screen size, Moto G 5G Plus features a 6.7 inches display, while Moto G8 Plus has a screen size of just 6.3 inches. Even in terms of resolution, Moto G 5G Plus beats Moto G8 Plus. The former has a resolution of 2300 x 1080 pixels, while the latter comes with 2280 x 1080 pixels.

As far as the operating system is concerned, Moto G 5G Plus is run on Android 10 and Moto G8 Plus is operated by Android 9 which isn’t the latest version. Speaking of the processor, Moto G 5G Plus has the power of Snapdragon 765G, while the other one has Snapdragon 665.

Moto G 5G Plus is available in two variants including 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage. However, Moto G8 Plus has only one variant and that comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Coming to the camera quality, Moto G 5G Plus is equipped with a triple camera set-up which includes 48 megapixels, 5 megapixels, 8 megapixels and 2 megapixels on the back. But as far as Moto G8 Plus is concerned, it has a regular 48-megapixel rear camera. Both the phones have selfies cameras in the front. But Moto G 5G Plus comes with a dual selfie camera of 16 megapixels and 8 megapixels. While Moto G8 Plus has only 25 megapixels.

One of the most important things of a smartphone is the battery life. We have to say that even in terms of battery life Moto G 5G Plus beats Moto G8 Plus. The former has a 5000 mAh battery capacity, while the latter has just 4000 mAH battery.

After comparing the specifications of both the phones, we know that Moto G 5G Plus is way better than Moto G8 Plus both in terms of features and performance. Moto G 5G Plus is a new model from Motorola that is designed to provide the best of features at an affordable range. But Moto G8 Plus is an older model and is not a budget-friendly phone.
