Early Life
Glenn Beck’s full name is Glenn Lee Beck and he was born on 10th February 1964, in Everett, Washington to William Beck and Mary Clara. After living in Mountlake Terrace, Washington for several years, the family relocated to Mount Vernon, Washington, where Glenn spent majority of his formative years. He was raised as a Catholic and attended Conception Catholic School. He was young when his parents separated.
At 15, he lost his mother due to drowning, leaving him and his elder sister in a mess. After his mother’s demise, Glenn shifted to Bellingham, his father’s home, where he attended Sehome High School and completed his graduation in 1982.
Beginning of Career
Glenn Beck’s radio career began in the 1980s. During this time, he worked for various radio stations across the country and moved cities to gain experience and polish his skills.
Glenn moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1985 to serve as the lead DJ for WRKA’s morning show, Captain Beck and the A-Team. But things took a turn after the ratings dropped and he had a conflict with the management that he decided to quit.
Shot to Fame
Glenn Beck’s fame skyrocketed in the mid-2000s, when his radio show The Glenn Beck Program became one of the most popular programs in the country.
By 2006 arrived, Glenn turned his attention from radio to television and joined CNN, where he hosted Glenn Beck, his own weeknight show. Two years later he quit CNN to join Fox News, which turned out to be a positive decision for his career. Glenn Beck married twice with his first wife being Claire Beck. After their divorce in 1994, he remained single for a few years before tying the knots with Tania Colonna, his present and second wife. Glenn shares two children with his first wife and two with his second wife.
