Gene Winfield was born on 16th June 1927, in Springfield, Missouri. After two years of his birth, his family relocated to Modesto, California, where he grew up. Winfield’s older brother, Glenn was the first to expose him to cars. This marked the beginning of Winfield’s love for cars, which later turned into his profession.
