The first season of Dorohedoro was released in December 2020, which means that it has nearly been 3 years since the last season. This has left the audience pretty hopeless about a new season.
However, what we need to understand is that anime series are time-consuming and they take a good amount of time to produce, which justifies the delay.
That said, neither the author of the manga nor the show nor the studio have commented anything about the potential release of the second season yet, which is quite disappointing. We have no way of knowing if the show is returning with a new season.
Given that the production house is focused on other shows at the moment, it won’t be surprising if the show does end up getting benched eventually.

As Caiman and Nikaido continue their quest, we can expect to witness more violence, action, and gore unfold in the story. They are currently on a quest to find the sorcerer that turned Caiman into the lizard man, so expect a lot of mysteries to be unfolded in the coming episodes.
With no confirmation of the next season in hindsight, it looks like we’d have to wait things out. In the meantime, you can go ahead and watch the first season.
