Tony Atlas was born on 23rd April 1954, in Roanoke, Virginia. He grew up in a rough neighbourhood and didn’t have an easy life like other children. He was raised by his grandmother and mother, who worked two jobs to support the family.
From a young age, Tony was naturally strong and athletic. He completed his schooling at Patrick Henry High School before pursuing a career in wrestling.
Tony Atlas’ career started in the mid-1970s when he started wrestling for the National Wrestling Alliance Worldwide/Mid-Atlantic area. His hard work and massive physique helped him become a popular name in the field.
Around the same time, he also stepped into the powerlifting scene, where he proved himself to be a dominant competitor. Throughout his career, he has won the title of “Mr. USA,” three times, which helped him gain nationwide recognition.
Tony Atlas rose to fame after joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). One of his memorable moments came in 1983 when he teamed up with Rocky Johnson. Together, they made history by becoming the first African-American tag team to win the WWF World Tag Team Championship.
In 1984, Atlas joined the American Wrestling Association (AWA) but soon returned to WWF. Following that he has participated in World Class Championship Wrestling and Puerto Rico and International Championship Wrestling.

However, we do know that he is married to Monika White, who supported him through his hardest times. Monika is his second wife while his first wife was Joyce with who he has one daughter.
