Early Life
Born somewhere in 1969 in Denmark, Tom Hougaard spent his young and teen years there and moved to abroad when he was an adult. However, details about his exact birthdate, place, parents, and siblings are not available anywhere and till date, he has preferred not to talk about them as well. As per some sources, he moved to the United Kingdom in 1992, when he was about 23 years old.
He pursued education in finance and economics and even attended universities in Birmingham and Wales. Some reports even suggest that he holds a degree in BSc and MSc. Post completing his education somewhere in the mid to late 1990s, Hougaard immediately started his professional career.

After completing his degree in economics and finance in the UK, he started his professional career and joined JPMorgan Chase in London. He first picked up non-trading roles but was highly interested in the stock market and even started his personal trading during the same time. By the early 2000s, after spending nearly 3 years in JPMorgan, Hougaard left the job and joined trading. He joined City Index, a renowned retail brokerage in London and started with spread texting and contracts for difference and eventually climbed to the position of Chief Market Strategist.
