Eight People Tests Covid-19 Positive In The Premiere League

Since the start of the pandemic, sporting events have been cancelled. After months of the gap, the sporting events are slowly getting back on track. However, there are still some hurdles that the players and organisers have to face.

On this Monday, the Premier League reported that eight people have been tested Covid-19 positive. Last week both players and staff were tested for Covid-19 and the results arrived positive for eight people.

The PL has said that people who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus will now stay in self-quarantine for at least 10 days.

Today, in a statement passed by the Premier League said that 1,575 club staff and players have been tested for Covid-19 between 12th and 18th October. Out of so many people, eight of them have tested positive. These individuals will now have to stay in self-isolation for 10 days or more.

According to reports, at least 42 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in a total of seven rounds of testing since 12th Sept.

The Premiere League has implemented strict measures to be followed by both staff and players. As a part of the safety measures, they are all being tested for the virus regularly. The recent test results have found eight people to be affected by the virus.

Although the sporting events have started, the stadiums are still not open to the audience. All the matches taking place are no-audience games. This means that fans can watch the match only on their screens. No one except the player and club staff is allowed to enter the stadiums.

The authorities have asked the players to maintain social distance even in the field and wear a mask all the time. They are also supposed to sanitise themselves from time to time. Despite all the strict safety measures, eight people have tested positive. This can affect the curse of the campaign that started on 12th September.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, millions of people have lost their lives and millions have been affected. This has not only disrupted the sporting events but also created huge chaos across the world.

According to reports, there are over 750,000 COVID-19 infections and more than 43,000 deaths in the United Kingdom alone. The same is the condition with other countries as well.

Although many countries are getting back to business after a long period of lockdown, the virus is still there. It will stay there unless a vaccine or cure is created.
