WhatsApp to Introduce New Features in 2023 – Calls on the Web, View Once Text

If you are an avid WhatsApp user, there is some good news for you. The instant messaging app is all set to introduce innovative and unique features in 2023.

Although WhatsApp has launched a variety of upgraded features in 2022, it isn’t surprising that the platform isn’t stopping anytime soon. Focused on streamlining the user experience, WhatsApp will get a lot of new features in 2023 to streamline the user experience.

Amidst them, one of the biggest features is calls on the web and view once text feature. Whether or not the platform introduces more security features is something we’d have to look forward to.

Some of the predicted features that will be available on WhatsApp in 2023 include:

Calls on Web

If you are an avid WhatsApp web user, chances are that you’d be able to answer calls via WhatsApp web shortly.

Meta is currently in the process of testing out a dedicated “call tab” for WhatsApp Web. With this feature, users will now be able to track and sync their features with the mobile and web versions of WhatsApp.

The feature is currently in beta testing and is available for WhatsApp users on Windows PC.

View Once Text

Another much-awaited feature that could be available on WhatsApp in 2023 is the View Once Text. With this feature, the messages will be deleted once the recipient reads the text.

A similar feature is available for the images and videos to send via Instagram. Not only will it help protect the privacy of the users but also prevent unnecessary forwarding or private messages.

Picture-in-Picture for Video Calls

The PIP feature for video calls is another potential feature that could be available in 2023 with WhatsApp. With this feature, users will be able to stay connected on the video call while navigating and browsing through other apps on their phones.

The feature is already available for several Android users and will most likely be available for the iOS platforms as well.

Companion Mode

WhatsApp currently doesn’t allow a single account to be used on multiple devices. However, with Companion Mode, there are chances that the users will be able to use one WhatsApp account on two or more devices and for varying purposes.

The feature will involve syncing the data across the connected devices to allow the users to be able to use their WhatsApp account on multiple devices at a time.

Which features are you excited to see in WhatsApp 2023?
