When is The Boroughs Releasing?

The Boroughs has been confirmed by Netflix and there has been confirmation that the Duffer brothers are all set to produce the show as well. Beyond that, Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews will be the showrunners and creators.

As for the release date, the Boroughs seem to not have any details regarding the actual release. There are insights that the show has started filming during the summer months. 

During the conversations, the Duffer brothers confirmed that they were quite fascinated by the writing of both Addiss and Matthews, which was the main reason why they decided to proceed with the new show down the line.

On the flip side, the showrunners have also showcased their excitement about getting to collaborate with the Duffer Brothers as well.

What can we expect from The Boroughs?

Since The Boroughs is a fairly new show, there seems to be very little information about the plot. The overview of the plot depicts that it will follow a group of retirees from a nursing home who set out to face the threats of otherworldly creatures.

Given Duffer’s brother’s interest in supernatural elements in their shows, it isn’t surprising that this particular show is also inspired by the experience of the other realms. 

The backdrop of the show will be around New Mexico, wherein a group of “unlikely heroes” band together to take down unexpected challenges along the way.

Despite all the excitement surrounding the show, there has been no official confirmation regarding the cast just yet. At this point, it is all a waiting game to see which talented actors are confirmed as the ensemble cast in this upcoming thriller and supernatural series.
