Shammi Prasad Net Worth 2025: Uncovering the Wealth of the Prank Artist and YouTuber

We often hear about how a person shot to fame by posting videos on YouTube. While YouTube remains the foremost video-sharing platform, Facebook’s dominance has given cut-throat competition. Before shifting to YouTube, many artists first went viral on Facebook and then transitioned to YouTube to capitalise on their fame. One name that dominated Facebook by posting hilarious and prank-related videos is Shammi Prasad.

He was the original when it came to experimenting with the genres of prank and dare videos, and he garnered millions of views solely on Facebook. Though many of his videos received major criticism and heavy backlash, he continued posting videos even today. Let’s know more about this FB and YouTube personality and discover his wealth and fame.

Early Life

Shammi Prasad was born on 1st February 1993 in Brisbane, Australia, to an Indian family and spent most of his childhood in Brisbane. He was raised by his mother, Tania and stepfather Scott, who passed away in 2022, which left him mourning. He was raised along with three brothers, who too are often featured in his videos.

For education, he attended a local school in Brisbane, and after completing his basic education, he entered the field of content creation. Further details about his education and precise degree are not available anywhere, and as per many sources, he didn’t choose to continue his education in a traditional way and dedicated his life and further years in building his career on social media.

Evolution of Career

Shammi started his career of content creation in the early 2010s and experimented with prank and social-experiment videos and posted small clips on Facebook between 2013 to 2014. By 2014, he started gaining attention because of his public pranks and skits and a few of them even went viral on Facebook. For 2015 and 2016, he regularly posted videos on FB, mostly featuring public dares, pranks on strangers and friends and stunts, which helped him gain huge followers.

From 2016 to 2017, he made his way to YouTube and other social media platforms and started uploading longer videos that helped him gain more viewers and followers. He also started making money with ads and brand collaborations. Between 2018 to 2022, he worked a lot into making his name on YouTube and started collaborating with his brothers and friends.

One of his most popular videos that earned him both appreciation and criticism is jumping off the terrace of the Meriton, a 50-story building in Southport, Queensland. Many media outlets showed their open criticism for the video and even demanded for his arrest. Another famous video of him that earned him huge fame was at the Melbourne Cup in Australia, where he switched off the projector, but got the crowd enraged, and he was about to be beaten up. He was taken in for questioning by Queensland’s police but was released later.

Despite the heavy backlash, he continued with his prank videos and posted on every major social media site, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. As of present, he is very much active and is producing prank and stunts related videos.

Shot to Fame

After posting constant videos for a couple of years, Shammi’s fame reached its peak in 2014 when a few of his videos went viral on Facebook. However, his fame was doubled when he posted a video of jumping off from a 50-story building from the terrace of the Meriton. He received both appreciation and criticism for this video.

Relationships

Shammi has kept his private life away from the limelight. While there are no valid sources or information available about his dating or married life, many sources have assumed him to be dating Sarah Rae Young, who is an Instagram model. Nothing has been confirmed by any of them.
