Born on 6th December 1974 in Illinois, USA, Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka Seppälä had a family of Finnish and American descent. He was born and brought up in the USA, but had strong roots in Finland, and he even seems to proudly flaunt his Finnish heritage. Not much details about his parents and siblings is available, and he chose to keep it private, but some reports available online do suggest that his father was a Finnish Minister in the Lutheran Church.
Santtu had a strong inclination towards education, and he displayed excellent performance from an early age. He further went to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and received a degree in MBA. Soon after getting his MBA degree, Santtu started his career with the world of baking and investment and began working in the Debt Capital Market Group at Salomon Brothers. Soon, he shifted to equity research at Lazard Asset Management and gained experience in analytical skills. He then moved to investment management and hedge fund leadership and started working at Cantillon Capital Management as a Portfolio Manager managing over $1 billion in assets and raising about $350 million.
His experience and motivation led him to found Kiitos Capital Management in 2008, and he became the Chief Investment Officer, managing funds for healthcare, agricultural, and environmental equities. In 2021, he joined Angeleno Group and is serving as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.
He also actively served as an advisor for Staxxon LLC and helped him with financial planning and growth. Since the beginning of his career, he has only witnessed success in whichever field he pursued.
