If you finished binge-watching ITV’s Passengers and have been waiting for more updates regarding the second season, be assured that you aren’t the only one. The first season wrapped up in April 2024 and since then; there has been a void ready to be filled.
The first season ended quite abruptly, which has sparked one question in the minds of the fans, “Is a second season happening?” With the lingering rumours and speculations, it looks like the possibility of a sequel isn’t farfetched.

The first season of the show was commissioned by ITV and since then, there seems to have been a lot of updates regarding the show’s upcoming episodes. Most of the fans are hopeful for a 2025 release but it appears as though that might not be happening after all.
Even if the second season happens, it will take longer than a year after the first season wrapped up. So, if we had to place our bets, the end of 2025 or 2026 seems like a reasonable timeline.

It will further follow Nash and Ali who find the Pangaea Initiative game and will most likely start playing it by themselves. In the last episode where we witnessed the two, we also witnessed an unknown boy who appeared around the Outer Wall on the CCTV footage. None of the viewers have any idea about who the boy is.
There are speculations that whoever that boy was showcased in the footage is likely the missing link when it comes to everything that’s happening in Chadder Vale. At this point, it is impossible to deduce what could go down in the upcoming season.
However, one thing is for sure, the sequel will pick up from where the first season ended. So, if you have yet to catch up on all the episodes from the first season, that’s something you’d need to sort out first. We will also get a deeper look into Pangaea and its roots. Getting to understand the source of the trouble could further help in sorting out any of the complications that could have been happening around the local town.
