According to Microsoft’s submission to the European Commission, Google’s proprietary data, sourced from its search engine and YouTube, provides a significant edge in training advanced AI models like Gemini, a notable example in the field of AI.

Microsoft also mentioned that Google’s self-supply AI semiconductors, help it to position itself for a sustained competitive edge in the future. The company also highlighted the significance of YouTube’s expansive video library, containing around 14 billion videos that provide Google access to a vast amount of content. This unique advantage, however, is not accessible to other AI developers.
