There’s a brand-new TV series coming on PBS titled Masterpiece: Moonflowers Murders. The show is based on Anthony Horowitz’s 2020 bestseller and features Timothy McMullan as Atticus Pund and Lesley Manville as Susan Ryeland.
The filming was concluded in 2023, and after several months of waiting, the showrunners have finally announced the premiere date. Fans are excited because the release date is around the corner.
The storyline is expected to be as compelling as the original novel. It centres around Susan, who has moved to Crete with her boyfriend, Andreas, after leaving her old life behind. However, her peace is destroyed after an old murder mystery resurfaces. The story follows Susan as she tries to unravel the mystery before it’s too late. As per reports, the show will have a total of six episodes, airing every Sunday from 15th September onwards. The last episode will be aired on 20th October, at 9/8c on PBS.

Masterpiece: Moonflowers Murders follows Susan Ryeland, a book editor who has become a detective. She lives in Crete with Andreas, her boyfriend, and leads a peaceful life. Her happy life is disrupted when she gets tangled in a murder case from eight years ago.
The murder took place at a British country hotel. Alan Conway, Susan’s former author, wrote a novel inspired by the event. This novel convinced Cecily Treherne that the wrong person was imprisoned for the crime. However, Cecily disappears mysteriously and Susan has to find him using the clues hidden in Conway’s book.
As per reports, Timothy McMullan and Lesley Manville are going to reprise their lead roles in Masterpiece: Moonflower Murders. Apart from them, the show has many other new faces.
