Magoo’s professional journey began with Surrounded by Idiots (SBI). Later he met Timothy Mosley, better known as Timbaland, during their teenage years in Norfolk. Together, they formed the duo Timbaland & Magoo in the 1990s and dropped back-to-back hit albums. While Timbaland managed the production, Magoo was responsible for rapping.
The collaboration between the two led to the release of many hit albums, including Welcome to Our World, Under Construction, Indecent Proposal, and Part II. They also dropped many chart-ranking tracks like Jumps da Boogie, Luv 2 Luv U, and Indian Flute.
Besides his collaboration with Timbaland, Magoo released his solo album Tim’s Bio Life from da Bassment. However, he couldn’t achieve the same level of success as he did with Timbaland.
Talking about Magoo’s personal life, he was married to Meco Barcliff. Despite his fame, he kept his personal life private and preferred spending time with his family whenever he was not working.
Magoo was 50 years old when he passed away on 13th August 2023. According to reports, the cause of his death was a heart attack. The news of his demise was a shocker for the music industry as they lost a great talent. His unexpected passing left the music industry mourning as they outpour their tribute on social media. His funeral service was held on 6th September, in Portsmouth, Virginia, where family, friends, and fans gathered to pay their respects.
