Born in 1967, Leanne Goggins was the daughter of Robert Brian Knight and Peggy Kaun. Growing up in New Brunswick, Canada, Leanne had a brother named Jason Jay, who is currently settled in Australia. Based on online sources, Leanne also had a step-father, whose name is Arnold Kaun.
Talking about Leanne’s early life, she was born with jaundice and suffered much of her childhood because of the illness. Due to this reason, her school life was both difficult and delayed. However, after she recovered from the disease, she enrolled in a college to pursue higher education.
Despite being a sick child, she never gave up on her love for animals. As her health improved, she became interested in pet training. This helped shape her career as an adult.
Growing up petting animals, Leanne decided to make it her career. As a child, she was not allowed to own a pet mainly because of her illness. But after growing up and recovering from her illness, no one could stop her from loving animals anymore.
As a passionate human being, she wanted to do something for animals and take care of them. This led her to start a dog-walking business in the Hollywood Hills that didn’t take much time to grow.
Her business caught the attention of many patrons, including the official mascot of Canyon News, Liberty. Besides walking dogs, her business offered dog training services to help pet owners discipline their four-legged friends.
Leanne and Walton met each other for the first time in 2000, and fell in love at first sight. Soon, the two started dating and tied the knot in 2001, just a year after they met. At the time of their marriage, Walton had just finished shooting for Shanghai Noon.
However, their marriage started cracking after a few years. Some of their conflicts also made the headlines, making fans curious about their married life.
According to sources, their marriage suffered because of Walton’s busy schedule. Leanne didn’t like that her husband didn’t have time for her and spent all his time working. This made her upset, which would cause fights between the two.
After things got worse, they decided to end their marriage and go their separate ways. However, before they could divorce each other officially, Leanne passed away.
The death of Leanne Goggins shocked Hollywood as nobody expected her to take her own life. According to reports, she committed suicide, jumping from the 17th floor of a high-rise building in Los Angeles, California.
She passed away in November 2004, just a few days after she handed the divorce papers to Walton. Later, it was revealed that she was a patient with chronic depression.
