Katla season 2: When is Katla 2nd Season Released and All Other Details

Katla, a 2021 Netflix series, had won many hearts following its debut. There were several reasons behind the excitement surrounding Katla season 1. One of the reasons was that this was a series shot and set entirely in Iceland. Another reason would be that the series is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, one of the most well-known Icelandic filmmakers.

They are supernatural in their appearance, covered in ash, and resemble their old selves except for a distinct and distant look in their eyes. 

The first season leaves the audience with lots of loose ends and cliffhangers. While many of the humanoids which had appeared, eventually perish, others survive and significantly affect the plot of the show. For instance, Grima was shown still searching for her missing sibling. Also, the prominent yet mysterious Raven of Thor, with a white feather, would perhaps get a bit of explanation. 

All in all, the second season of Katla will be addressing all these hanging plotlines. The unexpected reversal of the natural order of life and death, the mysterious volcanic eruption, and the underground asteroid,‐ are all angles that could be explored in Katla season 2.
