Jim S. Adler was born on 23rd May 1943, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Ruth Adler and Alexander Adler. Growing up in a supportive family, he completed his schooling at St. Mark’s School of Texas. To pursue higher education, he enrolled at the University of Texas, where he completed his undergraduate degree. Following that, he joined the University Of Texas School Of Law to obtain his Juris Doctor degree.

After completing his military service, Adler returned to Dallas and took on a role in law enforcement with the Texas State Securities Board. In 1967, he officially became a licensed attorney.
