Born on 29th June, 1975 in Damascus, Syria, Feras Antoon immigrated to Canada, precisely in Montreal at some point of his life, which is not documented. Anything about his parents is not available anywhere except for the mention of his brother, Mark Antoon, who is involved in his company. He was born and raised in a Christian family.
Concerning his education, again, not much is available about his earlier formal education, but he did go to Concordia University in Montreal to get his engineering degree.
After graduating from college, he, along with other college graduates, entered into the adult industry and created their first porn websites under Mansef Productions in association with Stephane Manos. Somewhere in 2005, he co-founded “Brazzers” along with Ouissam Youssef, Stephane Manos, and Matt Keezer, and focussed on making erotic content featuring “busty women” and “MILFs,” which turned out to be a huge success.
Next, he expanded his business and acquired other adult sites like YouPorn, which was under the Manwin Umbrella. Around 2010, Antoon’s business interest, Manwin, which controlled Brazzers and YouPorn, was operating under the ownership of Fabian Thylmann. Manwin went on to acquire additional sites, but in 2012, Thylmann was charged for evasion, and in 2013, he ended up selling Manwin to the senior management, to Antoon and COO David Tassilo, for about $79.57 million. The company was renamed to “MindGeek.”
Antoon took the position of CEO in the company and led it to become one of the largest adult entertainment companies in the world, and started to operate sites like RedTube, Pornhub, YouPorn, and others with a $460 million revenue. While growing, the company also faced regulatory and legal issues. Under the constant investigation, Antoon’s mansion in Montreal was destroyed in a suspected arson in 2021.
In June 2022, Antoon resigned from the position of CEO of MindGeek but retained his stake in the company. In 2023, the company was acquired by Ethical Capital Partners (ECP) and was renamed Aylo. At present, he continued to be associated with Aylo.
