Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa May Miss His Bayern Munich Trip

According to reports, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa will be ruled out from the Bayern Munich trip. He is currently receiving treatment at the Clinica Universidad Navarra for a serious thigh injury. He sustained the injury while playing against Centa Vigo this weekend.

The club has confirmed that they are ruling out Diego Costa from participating in Wednesday’s Champions League tie match against Bayern Munich for his injury.

Right now the club is not sure about his comeback. They have not put a timescale on Costa’s return to motion. However, locals news says that he will remain absent for the coming three weeks. This means he will not be participating in the European champions in Munich.

This injury is quite unfortunate for Diego as he cannot participate in any of the matches for the next three weeks. Right now he is getting treated and recovering from his thigh injury. 

A statement passed by Atletico Madrid said that they had no choice but to replace Costa in the second half of their side’s game against Celta Vigo. Costa was sent for tests at the Clinica Universidad de Navarra where it was confirmed that he suffered a serious muscle injury in his left thigh.

They also said that they are waiting for his response to the treatment. But they are sure that he will be missing from the team for the next three weeks.

The decision taken by the team is final. In the upcoming Bayern Munich match, we will not get to see Costa. But after his recovery, he will join the team again. For now, he will be on bed rest and get treated for his injury.
